Ironing is the most critical step in bead art. Master the right techniques for flatter, stronger, more beautiful pieces.
🔥 Three Ironing Methods
1Direct IroningSimplest
Leave on pegboard → Cover with paper → Medium heat, circular motions 10-15 sec → Check → Weight to cool
✅ Best for beginners, simple and safe⚠️ Pegboard may warp from heat
2Tape MethodRecommended
Cover with masking tape → Flip, remove from board → Iron bottom first → Remove tape → Flip and iron other side
✅ Both sides flat, protects pegboard⚠️ Be careful when flipping
3Flat Fuse / Full MeltAdvanced
Extended ironing to fully melt beads into a flat surface. Creates a mosaic tile-like effect.
✅ Very smooth and flat⚠️ Requires experience to control temp

🔧 Troubleshooting
🔴 Warping✅ Place books on top while cooling
🔴 Uneven fusing✅ Use small circular motions
🔴 Sticks to paper✅ Lower temp, lighter pressure
🔴 Holes in center✅ Normal! Use flat fuse for no holes
